Soon after my 14th birthday, I underwent emergency surgery at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Because of the competent and caring doctors, nurses, and staff, I had a successful outcome. My two older brothers also had surgeries performed at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and received the same exceptional care. My family will always be grateful to all the selfless heroes that cared for me, my brothers, and so many others. To show my gratitude and to support their mission in helping kids get well, I am starting a fundraiser called “Caring for Kids” which will benefit the hospital, the young patients, and their families.
