Welcome to Victoria Nicole Morrison "Honeybee" Vein of Galen Malformation (VOGM) Treatment page!
Thank you for making a generous gift in memory of our "Honeybee," Victoria Nicole Morrison! Victoria was born with Vein of Galen Malformation (VOGM), a very rare, serious and life-threatening condition that affects approximately one in every 25,000 births. That's about one kid every 2-3 days in the entire USA!
The good news? VOGM is treatable, and the neuro-intervention professionals at Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital, led by Dr. Mehta and in coordination with the INCREDIBLE team in the CVICU, provide excellent, expert care and treatment!
Victoria's case was severe, and although she was indeed a candidate for the treatment (albeit a long shot candidate) & the treatments were initially successful, unfortunately her VOGM "recruited new feeders," and she ultimately died as a result of this condition. BUT--- there is hope for others, and we urge you to always remain faithful, hopeful, and to move forward in love!
Please donate in memory of our precious little Honeybee, Victoria Nicole Morrison, so that other kids and families may receive the world-class treatment and care that we were honored to have received from the entire team at JDCH. Let's defeat VOGM, and let's always remember our little Honeybee!
