Remembering Zachary's Smile
Zachary David Bain was a brave, joyful boy who filled his 3 1/2 years with love and resilience. Born with a congenital heart defect, he faced four surgeries with quiet strength. Despite his challenges, Zachary’s playful spirit and love for music shone through—blasting his favorite songs, dancing with anyone he could find, and charming everyone with his obsession with spiders and “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Though his time was brief, he left a lasting impact, teaching those around him about perseverance, joy, and the beauty of life’s smallest moments. His bright light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
In honor of Zachary, we’ve established a fund to carry on his legacy. Your donation will help ensure that his spirit and impact live on. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundations goal is to ensure that no child is ever turned away from receiving life-saving care. Zach spent around 100 days of his life within those hospital walls. We witnessed firsthand the extraordinary love, compassion, and dedication of the medical team. They are truly angels among us, and we want to celebrate Zachary's memory by supporting their tireless efforts.
Your donation, no matter what size, will help make a tangible difference in the lives of countless children and families, providing them with hope, healing, and a second chance at life.
