Sophie's Bat Mitzvah Project
Almost 13 years ago I was born premature at 28 weeks. Only weighing 1 lb 9 ounces meant that I had a long way to go (100 days to be exact). If it weren't for the amazing nurses, doctors, therapists and staff of JDCH Nicu I would not be here today! So for my Bat Mitzvah project, I of course wanted to give back to this amazing hospital.
For my 10th birthday I had the oppurtunity to go back to the Nicu to take a tour and see the exact spot that my incubator was in, I also had onesies made for 20 babies that said "Peace Out Nicu" that I handed out to their parents before they were ready to go home. It was so amazing to meet some of the nurses and doctors that helped save my life and some of them even remembered me and my mom.
Thank you so much for helping me raise money for my Bat Mitzvah Project, the NICU at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospitall means so much to me and my family.
xoxo
